Watched this little guy picking at seeds in the snow on Plum Is., MA (see #673). Suddenly he jumped up onto the small bush sticking out of the snow (#677) and started to "dance" on the bush (#680 & 682) . He would then jump back down to the ground and begin to eat seeds (#683). After watching this happen twice it became clear that he was shaking the bush to dislodge seeds, thus creating a small feast for himself on the ground.
Very innovative, creative little guy. As long as he watches what's coming from above, he'll probably be around for a while.
