1st week of October. Stayed in a B&B, The Mulbern Inn in Bethlehem, NH. A little late for peak and then on Monday night a powerful thunderstorm moved through the area with torrential rains and high winds bringing down many leaves, especially on the Birch trees which have the intense golds to contrast with any reds and greens left. Color wasn't the best I've seen, but you can't the White Mountains of NH for a quick (only a 2+hour drive) get-a-way in the Fall.
